About Joshua Mino

Joshua Mino is a member of the Litigation, Trial and Appellate practice group of Godes & Preis. He has over 18 years of experience as an aggressive litigator, having participated in arbitrations, trials and appeals throughout California in both Federal and State Court. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mino was a senior litigator for a national law firm representing nation-wide business ventures. He attended UC Berkeley, graduating with a double major in political science and rhetoric, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego. Mr. Mino focuses his practice on complex business and employment litigation, including class actions and PAGA cases, as well as a variety of other civil disputes. His clients have ranged from car dealerships, national banks, loan servicers, hospitals and other health care services, general contractors, subcontractors, engineering and architectural firms, public entities, churches and schools, shareholders, and partnerships to individuals needing assistance to prosecute and defend various business, employment and other disputes. Mr. Mino creates innovative strategies to accomplish his client’s objectives. He has been published multiple times in nationwide publications. Mr. Mino is admitted to practice in all Federal and State Court’s in California, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and is licensed to practice in Washington, D.C. His recent accomplishments include: March 2025, arbitration award confirming the client's contract was not void as against public policy. March 2025, summary judgment on behalf of a hospital client against a physician alleging discrimination and whistleblower protections. April 2024, Court of Appeal affirmed two orders denying Anti-SLAPP motions in a business dispute. December 2023, Court of Appeal affirmed a judgment and costs in a business dispute. May 2023, obtained 100% defense verdict against an amputee employee alleging disability discrimination, harassment and retalition. October 2022, successfully defensed a jury trial on behalf of a car dealership and its owner against allegations of fraud and elder abuse. May 2021, successfully prosecuted one of the first jury trials post-COVID in San Diego. July 2021, obtained a 100% defense jury verdict and a verdict on the client’s cross-complaint in a commercial business dispute in OC. October 2018 obtained a 100% defense jury verdict against a high-level executive who alleged she was fired for discrimination and violation of whistleblower statutes.
