I partner with attorneys across Florida on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex liability cases approaching trial. As a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, I focus on helping clients—and the lawyers who represent them—navigate high-stakes litigation with strategic preparation and trial-ready advocacy. I'm the Managing Partner of The Gutierrez Firm, with offices in Coral Gables (Miami), Tallahassee, Florida, and Denver, Colorado. For more than two decades, I've represented individuals, businesses, and healthcare providers in state and federal courts, handling catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, and complex commercial litigation. In addition to jury trials, I've represented clients in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. My practice often involves stepping into difficult cases, developing new trial strategies, and working alongside referring attorneys to maximize outcomes for their clients. I am admitted to practice in Florida and Colorado, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Outside the courtroom, I'm an active real estate investor with a growing rental portfolio throughout North Florida. I enjoy building businesses, investing in income-producing real estate, and sharing lessons on entrepreneurship, leadership, and trial practice. Community service has also been an important part of my career. I'm a Past President of the Everglades Coordinating Council, where I advocated for wildlife conservation and outdoor recreation. I previously testified before Congressional subcommittees on conservation issues and was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior to the Big Cypress National Preserve ORV Advisory Committee. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Seminole Boosters, Inc. and am a Platinum Chief.
