About Jonathan Blank
As a partner with McGuireWoods LLP, I serve as the office managing partner of our Charlottesville office, and also co-chair the firm's Oil and Gas team. My practice is focused in the Energy sector with a concentration in natural gas litigation including: shale, coalbed methane, conventional, and propane. I have litigated a variety of complex litigation in this arena, including: mineral rights, royalty, transportation, construction, consumer protection, antitrust, and fraud. I have also tried dozens of bench and jury trials, and have appeared in district, circuit and federal courts, as well as in AAA arbitrations. I have been reported in cases in the Virginia Supreme Court, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and one in the U.S. Supreme Court. I have litigated cases in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. I am an A/V rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell. I am a proud graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law where I was honored as a member of the Raven and IMP Societies.
