About John Zaorski
Despite the jokes that are often made about lawyers in general and personal injury attorneys in particular, helping people who have truly been injured or harmed is important work and I take great satisfaction when I can achieve a successful resolution for my client. Empathy and understanding are important qualities for being a successful PI attorney and I try my best to remember that for each new case that I take on. But these qualities are not enough. They must be augmented by a deep understanding of the law and how it applies to each unique situation. Fortunately, my clients benefit from the experience I’ve had, not just in having handled hundreds of civil litigation cases, but also from my previous experience working in the insurance industry. I know what these companies look for and how they operate. I am especially proud of the work I did on a landmark birth defect case in which we were able to a obtain a $6 million settlement for a child who contracted Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV) through his mother’s exposure to mice feces. For individuals who have been injured due to the actions or negligence of another, I think it is critical to understand that all attorneys are not the same. It is important that they research their alternatives and seek out someone who has both the right kind of legal acumen and the right temperament.
