John Wrona

John focuses his practice on representing injured persons and their families in Chicago and the collar counties, throughout the Midwest, and across the country. John established himself as a seasoned trial lawyer at a relatively young age, and started with the firm in 2000, after beginning his career with other plaintiff’s firms from 1997-1999.Based upon his tremendous record of success, John was made partner in the firm in 2005 and named partner in 2008. John has played the lead role in obtaining over $75,000,000 of recoveries on behalf of clients in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, as well as on business, municipal, and commercial litigation cases, at Gardiner Koch Weisberg & Wrona.John recently obtained a $5.42 million jury verdict in a wrongful death case. John was the lead trial lawyer in representing the family of a 55 year old woman cancer patient who died due to medical negligence involving the failure to diagnose a side effect of a chemotherapy drug.John has been appointed Adjunct Professor of Law in Trial Advocacy at Northwestern University School of Law for the 2007-2021 academic years. John was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer for the years 2012 to 2020, and was again selected in 2021 by peers to be one of the top lawyers in Medical Malpractice. He was also selected by peers as a Leading Lawyer from 2016-2020 in the areas of Nursing Home Negligence and Professional Negligence.
