John Pierce

John R. Baldivia is a music and intellectual property attorney, MLBPA certified agent, and partner with Rossi, P.C.  Recognized from 2022 to 2024 as a Billboard Top Music Lawyer, and a five-time selection to Super Lawyer's Rising Stars, John's practice focuses on music industry contracts, copyright and trademark matters.  John's experience also spans entertainment litigation and labor & employment disputes in the entertainment industry. John brings to the team a wealth of knowledge in music industry custom and practice, as well as copyright litigation, right of publicity and other intellectual property matters. John comes from a background as a music industry professional, having worked 10 years in digital content for both major label and independent music distribution. John is an alumni of Southwestern Law School’s evening program, where he completed his J.D. while working full time in the music industry. John has served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Michael R. Wilner with the U.S. Court in Central District of California.  He is presently the Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association's Entertainment Law section, and is a member of the Southwestern Nickel Alumni Club, the Philippine American Bar Association, and California Society of Entertainment Lawyers. John is also an active member of the planning committee for the USC-BHBA Institute on Entertainment Law and Business.
