About John McIntyre
John is founding partner of Shea & McIntyre, where he specializes in advising executives, employees and employers of all sizes, ranging from start-ups to national corporations, on various aspects of the employer-employee relationship. He has vast experience in assisting employees in negotiating their entry into a new position and departure when the time has come to move on -- he has negotiated hundreds of employment and severance agreements. Additionally, John is a litigator who represents employers and employees in employment litigation matters before state and federal courts and governmental agencies (including the U.S. Department of Labor, The California Department of Industrial Relations [commonly known as the "Labor Commissioner"], the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing) defending and prosecuting claims involving wages, overtime, PAGA violations, discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, and retaliation. He also has extensive experience with both individual and class action wage and hour litigation.
