John Harris

John G. (“Jack”) Harris is a co-founder of Berger Harris, a business law boutique based in Wilmington, Delaware. Jack has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial and corporate litigation matters in the state and federal courts and particularly the Delaware Court of Chancery--the nation's preeminent forum for resolving business disputes. Within these general areas, Jack has developed particular expertise in handling "business divorce" litigation matters involving private closely-held entities such as LLCs and partnerships. Before co-founding Berger Harris, Jack was a partner in the Delaware office of Reed Smith LLP, an international AmLaw 100 firm, and Riley Riper Hollin & Colagreco, where he headed-up the Delaware litigation practice. Earlier, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William L. Witham, Jr. of the Superior Court of Delaware, as well as the Honorable George L. Seltzer of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Jack is active in the local civic community. Among other non-profit leadership positions, he serves on the Centreville School Board of Directors and was a board member of Junior Achievement of Delaware.
