I'm JP Goshgarian, a true South Floridian deeply connected to the local community and legal scene. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University in 1986 and followed it up with a Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1992. Getting into the legal arena, I proudly joined the Florida Bar in 1992 and had the honor of being a law clerk for the Honorable James Lawrence King, a United States District Court Judge in the Southern District of Florida. Transitioning into public service, I spent years as an Assistant Attorney General in the civil litigation division, advocating for the State of Florida, its agencies, and employees. After my stint as a government lawyer, I took on the role of a civil trial lawyer in private practice, representing a diverse clientele in both state and federal courts. My experience spans insurance defense work, where I defended doctors in medical malpractice cases, professionals in the construction industry, business owners, and individuals. Currently, at John P. Goshgarian PA, my focus is on personal injury & wrongful death actions, commercial litigation, and consumer rights.
