Jessica Cha

Attorney Jessica B. Cha is a Certified Family Law Specialist as certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Jessica is an experienced litigator who represents clients in all stages of family law litigation. Jessica's practice also includes parental abduction cases under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and has traveled abroad to advocate in front of foreign judiciaries and officials. In 2017 Jessica successfully defended a $750,000.00 attorney fee request in a domestic partnership dissolution case in San Francisco. The court denied the request in full and granted Jessica's request for court ordered sanctions against the other party. The other party also requested $26,000.00 monthly spousal support but was only awarded $6,600.00 monthly spousal support. In 2015, Jessica obtained a $10.2 Million jury verdict after an eight-week jury trial for the wrongful death of a young boy at a nursing facility. This verdict was the 24th highest in the State of California in 2015 and her jury instructions were published in the CACI Civil Jury Instruction Companion Handbook. Jessica started her legal career as an attorney in the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Commerce where she was charged with providing comprehensive legal services to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Jessica received her law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego.
