Jeremy Karpel

Jeremy E. Karpel is an attorney practicing exclusively criminal defense. He has experience handling state and federal criminal cases throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Kern, and Monterey Counties. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society (Criminal Justice) from University of California, Santa Barbara. He has a Juris Doctorate from Glendale College of Law where he was on Law Review and was Student Body President. Mr. Karpel has been an adjunct instructor in the Criminal Justice Department teaching courses in Criminology, Criminal Procedure, Criminal Investigations, and Criminal Law. Sex Crimes (molestation, rape, sexual assault, prostitution, child pornography), Violent Crimes (assault, domestic violence, robbery, carjacking), Domestic Violence (battery, stalking, TRO's, child endangerment), Drug Crimes (possession, cultivation, sales, trafficking), Weapons, Three-Strike offenses, and DUI. He has further experience representing and managing many complex corporate investigations and litigation involving securities, frauds, and other major white-collar litigation matters. As an investigator, he handled threat assessment management, major investigations and consulting to government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, entertainment, technology, manufacturing, and aerospace industries, several municipalities, as well as high profile media figures, corporate executives, select individuals, and some of the most prestigious law and accounting firms. He has been responsible for training and analysis to clients on potential threat issues, workplace violence, and harassment prevention. He has initiated extensive investigations pertaining to corporate espionage, threats, corporate fraud, theft, human resources issues, litigation avoidance, and general crime prevention safety.
