With over 15 years of experience in various legal and business roles, I am an agile and strategic leader who can navigate complex and dynamic challenges with confidence and creativity. My core competencies include effective communication, issue spotting and analysis, innovative problem solving, as well as emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, diplomacy, and consensus building. My personal philosophy around building and growing great teams is grounded in inspiring a positive culture, unique incentive systems, KPI measurement and achievement, and role modeling, all ultimately driving growth. I am passionate about delivering high-quality and customized services to our clients at Checkers International, a leading in-depth background screening and due diligence firm in the entertainment, sports, and legal industries and beyond. At the center of my work is a dedication to continuously improving our practices in the context of ever-changing landscapes. This includes but isn't limited to anticipating our clients' needs, customizing our products and services on a project-by-project basis, ensuring compliance with evolving laws and best practices, negotiating deal terms and agreements, managing risk, and aiding in the efficient resolution of potential disputes. My greatest achievement is cultivating, leading and mentoring a diverse and talented team of professionals who share our mission and vision of providing accurate, reliable, complete, and useful information to our clients in order to best position them for success. Volunteering and unpaid work also serves a valuable role in the long-term collective good and should be highlighted equally. Outside of Checkers, I regularly utilize my professional and personal skills for the benefit of my communities. I enjoy applying my talents to all types of work, including parenting two young children - which is far more challenging than any professional experience I've ever had. Being a classroom parent, little league team adminstrator, head grade representative and more has helped me meaningfully contribute towards these values. This form of contribution is equally as crucial to society as running a company, being a good employer, and a reliable vendor, and serves as important role modeling for the next generation. I am passionate about eliminating the gender bias that is typically associated with these necessary aspects of community, and hope to use my personal leverage, including being a family friendly employer, to normalize this type of work being done by all.
