Jennifer Taylor

I am a native of North Carolina and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Communication Studies and Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law with a JD. I began my career at Legal Aid of North Carolinians, followed by have a decade of representing clients before the Social Security Administration. In 2014, I took a break from the practice of law. During that time I spent time with my children and focused on freelance writing and communication projects for non-profits and small businesses. I returned to the full-time practice of law in March 2017 at Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. Changing my practice area to Personal Injury was intimidating. But, I started as an Attorney in the Personal Injury Settlement Administration department, which gave me a full view of how the firm functions. In 2020, I took on the roles of Intake Administrator and Co-Counsel Coordinator at the firm. I built a small, but wonderful and hardworking team. The department grew exponentially in the first 2 years as we developed solid relationships with other firms and tripled our revenue. I have enjoyed the challenge of building that department to what it is today and working cordially with outside attorneys to secure appropriate representation for potential clients who have called for help, but who may not have a case with which can assist, for a variety of reasons. After a year of medical leave in 2022-23, during which my firm truly showed their compassion, I returned as the head of the Co-Counsel department and took on what is now my primary role now as Intake Administrator, overseeing our excellent Intake Staff. I no longer handle a caseload, but I have found my niche in administration and operations. I stay current on all areas of law by reviewing the firm's intakes daily for all departments and analyzing them to determine how we can help. In 2025, I was honored to join the firm's Executive Committee and serve as the VP of Compliance and Operations. My multiple roles and Law Offices of JSF are all consistent with the goal I have had since the day I decided to go to law school, which was to do something that made a positive difference in the lives of others.
