I’ve been a trial lawyer for more than two decades, and I’ve spent nearly all of that time representing people and families in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The work is hard, the stakes are high and the responsibility is real. That’s what drew me to it in the first place, and why I continue to do it every day.I started Cooper Law Group, PLLC because I wanted to handle cases the way I think they ought to be handled: carefully, personally and with a willingness to try them when necessary. I represent clients who’ve experienced some of the most devastating circumstances life can deliver, birth trauma, surgical mistakes, delayed diagnoses and wrongful death. In every case, the goal is the same: to find out what really happened, hold the right people accountable and obtain maximum compensation to help the client move forward.I don’t advertise. I don’t run a high-volume operation. I take on a small number of cases and handle each one myself, from the first conversation through trial. That’s the model. It’s not the fastest or the flashiest, but it’s the one I believe in.I’ve secured seven-figure verdicts in multiple cases, including $6.5 million for a birth injury and $4.2 million in a wrongful death following a delayed stroke diagnosis. I’ve been recognized in Super Lawyers® every year since 2008 and recently by Best Lawyers. I’m a member of ABOTA and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Most of my work comes by referral, from lawyers who trust me with serious matters that require time, judgment and trial experience.I work out of a converted house in downtown Bridgeport—professional, straightforward, and just a few steps from the courthouse.
