About Jeff Jarkow

I graduated from Cornell Law School and practiced law in New York City at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. From 2000 until 2018, I served as the CFO of Debra Zane Casting overseeing all business and legal aspects of the company. When the immigration crisis began in early 2017, I volunteered with Esperanza’s Immigration Court Help Desk at the Los Angeles Immigration Court and Legal Orientation Program at Adelanto Detention Center. From May 2018 to May 2020, I worked with Weisz Immigration Law Group. I have years of legal and business experience and am thoroughly versed in the complexities of business and family immigration. I am admitted to the New York State Bar and I represent clients exclusively in federal immigration law matters. I work with artists, athletes and entrepreneurs in navigating the US immigration system. I also work with individuals and their families who are dealing with humanitarian and asylum claims. Pro bono activities: I am active with AILA and the ABA pro bono litigation projects. I have been a facilitator with the Tools for Tolerance Law Enforcement Program at the Museum of Tolerance since September 2008. During this period, I founded the Law & Ethics Education Institute in order to develop continuing legal education programs (MCLE’s) focusing on the unique and crucial role attorneys play in safeguarding society. Additionally, I am one of the coordinators of the Food Pantry at the Karsh Center in Koreatown where I have volunteered since 2003.
