Jeff Colemere

I practice primarily in the areas of real estate litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, landlord/tenant litigation, probate litigation, appellate litigation and collections. I have represented real estate professionals, businesses, property owners, estates, and construction companies in complex litigation matters, and have successfully litigated before State and Federal judges, Utah juries, the Utah Court of Appeals and Utah Supreme Court. After nearly seventeen years of working in the public and private sectors, I (together with my partners) launched the firm of Colemere Gibbs & Stout, PLLC for the purpose of bringing superior legal services, sound advice, and creative solutions to the firm's clientele. During my distinguished career, I served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Education and Criminal Appeals Divisions, in leadership positions with the Utah State Bar, and as a member of the Utah State Bar Journal Committee. I have consistently been nominated by my peers as one of Utah Business'€™ Legal Elite in trial practice. Currently I also serve as a Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Army Reserve, specializing in military law. In 2009-10, I served a tour of duty in Taji, Iraq with the 96th Sustainment Brigade, where I was awarded the Army's Meritorious Service Medal. A graduate of Creighton University School of Law, I was the recipient of the CALI award for excellence in Trial Practice and Advanced Legal Writing. When not practicing law, I enjoy outdoor activities with my wife and our six children.
