Jay Menchaca

The law respects and empowers everyone. After over 20 years in practice, Jay Menchaca has established a strong foundation of legal experience and innovation which he puts to his clients’ good use. Mr. Menchaca works with both individuals and businesses, has successfully advocated for clients on state, federal and international levels and also has extensive experience representing clients in various alternative dispute resolution (ADR) forums. Jay Menchaca brings a unique combination of skills and experiences to his law practice. Prior to attending law school Jay was a California state narcotics agent, a probation officer, a political consultant and even a chef in his youth. These experiences, coupled with his desire to learn more about the law, drew Jay to Washington, D.C. where he attended, and graduated from, the George Washington University Law School in 1998. Jay previously worked as an associate at three distinguished Northern California law firms for 10 years before returning to his hometown of Gilroy, California to start his own practice in 2009. He currently serves his community on the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Gilroy Unified School District Citizen Oversight Committee and on the board of his church.
