Jason Platt

Since its inception in 2012, I have been the Managing Partner at Doolan Platt & Setareh, LLP, overseeing and supervising the firm’s daily operations and practice of law. After starting my career as a plaintiff’s personal injury and medical malpractice attorney in firms in and around New York City, I was a partner at The Law Offices of Hyman & Platt, one of the first firms in New York State to focus on nursing home litigation.For more than 25 years, I have specialized in cases involving neglect and abuse in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care settings.In addition to my practice, I have written and lectured extensively to other attorneys on nursing home liability and litigation across New York State. I have authored the only comprehensive chapter on nursing home liability and litigation for a New York State Bar Association treatise concerning personal injury practice in New York. As my colleagues on both sides of the bar know, I am passionate about abuse and neglect matters and bring this passion to our daily practice in order to obtain the results our clients and their families deserve.
