About Jan Fleener
I am a partner in Downey Brand's complex litigation practice group, in Sacramento, where I have worked for almost 30 years. I represent a variety of clients in litigation and appellate matters, in state and federal courts, and have successfully taken numerous cases to trial. I handle real estate litigation, partnership disputes, and class actions, among other matters. Because my clients span a broad range of industries, I am adept at quickly grasping the industry issues and my clients' specific goals. At a young age, I decided that I was either going to be a lawyer or work in the arts. I obviously chose the law, but practicing with Downey Brand allows me to also stay connected to the arts, and also indulge my creative side. I have volunteered and participated with many local arts organizations over the years, and currently serve as chair of the Advisory Board for the Robert & Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis.
