Over a twenty-five-year legal journey, I have navigated the tight intersections of criminal prosecution, civil litigation, and enterprise risk management. I began as an Assistant Attorney General, advanced through eight years of felony trial work as an Assistant District Attorney, stepped into the private sector as Senior Vice President for First Bank of Mississippi, and now serve Forrest County as Prosecutor. Along the way, I have tried more than two hundred felony and misdemeanor cases, protected multimillion-dollar banking operations from regulatory exposure, and advised C-suite leaders on governance that can withstand the toughest scrutiny. Those early consumer-protection investigations in the Attorney General’s Office trained me to spot deceptive practices before they metastasize. Courtroom seasons that followed refined a storytelling approach that secured high-profile convictions, including a capital-murder verdict that helped a university community heal. In banking, I translated that same vigilance into contract oversight and compliance architecture, aligning vendor agreements with FDIC and CFPB standards while reducing operational risk across the enterprise. Today, as Forrest County Prosecutor, I balance public safety with the rehabilitative aims of Youth Court, mentor law-enforcement officers on evidence preparation, and guest-lecture aspiring attorneys on trial strategy. Honors such as the Mississippi Bar President’s Award and Citizen of the Year remind me that legal work is ultimately community work. Whether guiding juries, briefing executives, or coaching new prosecutors, I aim to turn complex statutes into decisive action and pair legal precision with the empathy every client, colleague, and citizen deserves.
