Ismail Amin

Ismail Amin is a multi-jurisdictional attorney with extensive experience in business, securities, and biotechnology transactions and litigation. He has represented Fortune 500 and mid-sized private companies in complex disputes across the United States and internationally, spanning industries such as biologics, biotechnology, banking, financial services, and securities regulation. In the boardroom, Ismail has advised healthcare and business clients on over $5 billion in asset acquisitions and sales, including hospitals. He has deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, and regularly counsels biotech and healthcare clients on FDA regulatory matters, including Pre-Market Approval and 510(k) submissions. He is the founder of the “Biotech Bulletin,” where he writes on emerging FDA issues affecting biologics and biotech companies. Ismail is the exclusive IR Global advisor for Banking in Nevada & California. In the courtroom, Ismail has participated in over 85 trials and arbitrations across multiple jurisdictions. His litigation experience includes shareholder disputes, securities actions, trade secret and IP matters, and commercial litigation. He also has extensive experience before the USPTO, including TTAB proceedings. Ismail’s appellate experience includes briefing and arguing cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, and Ninth Circuits, as well as state appellate courts. His appellate work spans securities regulation, constitutional law, and complex commercial issues. He is admitted to practice in California, Nevada, Texas, North Carolina, and New York. Ismail holds degrees from UC Irvine (B.A.), Pepperdine Law (J.D.), Stanford University (Graduate Certificate in Genetics & Genomics), Johns Hopkins University (M.S. in Biotechnology, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship), and Georgetown Law Center (LL.M. in Securities & Financial Regulation). Ismail serves on the Dean’s Council at Pepperdine Law and is a Board Member for both Endure to Cure and the USA Track & Field Foundation. Outside of law, Ismail is a licensed pilot, marathon runner, and Muay Thai kickboxer. He earned Abbott Labs’ 6-star medal for completing all six World Marathon Majors.
