Ian Martin

My educational and professional background has afforded me a deeper understanding of the fundamental ethical and legal principles behind the law and current policies, all the while enhancing my cultural sensitivity and competence, and my understanding of human behavior. I possess excellent research and communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to analyze complex models and situations. As a practicing business cyber security law attorney, I negotiate to maximize cohesion and to mutually benefit all parties when the situation is amicable and argue zealously for my client when the situation is adversarial. I take responsibility for continually advancing my education in the rapidly changing information age and am proactive and diligent in enhancing my knowledge of cyber security law. I am accustomed to challenging work environments and can work well under supervision or self-guided as circumstances dictate. I attribute much of my success to putting the interest others first, having attention to detail, and an overall positive and proactive attitude toward my work and life in general. Before I was a cyber security lawyer I practiced in the areas of family law, civili litigation, and wills, trusts and estates. In all these areas of practice I learned valuable skills and lessons that I continue to use in my current area of practice. I have also studied International Human Rights and Constitutional law, which has provided me with a strong foundation and context for the interpretation of law in the current, rapidly developing, legal environment. Also, my B.A. in Religious Studies focusing on Judaism and Isla, as we alls studying all the other major world religions has prepared me to think from other people's cultural perspectives so I can better think globally in order to act locally.
