With years of experience in personal injury and civil litigation, Herrick Sovany handles all types of litigation matters from simple car wreck cases to complex business disputes. Herrick began his legal career working for a nationally recognized boutique litigation firm in Houston, Texas, where he handled some of the most complicated personal injury cases and handled mass tort dockets, including Vioxx litigation and breast implant cases. With his deep experience handling virtually every type of plaintiffs’ case, he is able to quickly assess the potential merits of a diverse range of cases and success of winning at trial. Herrick is routinely recognized by clients and attorneys for his ability to prepare cases for trial, yet use his economics background to create innovative settlement solutions for his clients to achieve the best result with the least risk. This is one of the reasons why former clients and fellow attorneys often refer cases and matters to him. Herrick also serves as liaison or outside general counsel for several businesses in Houston. In this role, Herrick advises clients on business formation, long-term planning, employee relations, collections, agency inquiries, and liability issues. Herrick has also conducted risk assessments in many countries, third-party due diligence, domestically and internationally, as well as statistical modeling on various compliance data points to identify trends and assist with resource allocation. Herrick was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He has a French background and has dual citizenship, United States and French, which has proven helpful in international business matters.
