Harvey Cooper

I am a partner at Abrahams Kaslow & Cassman LLP law firm. I joined the firm in 1976 and focus my practice on wireless communication, employment law, the manufacturing and retail sectors and civil litigation. In my employment practice, I advise business clients on developing, implementing and monitoring programs for their employment practices. I also defend corporate clients in discrimination, wage and hour, government contractor compliance, wrongful discharge and other employment matters before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. I speak frequently on these issues at employment related seminars and was a practioner in residence at Indiana University School of Law teaching employment law. In addition, I have an extensive background in legal issues affecting manufacturing and retail businesses including drafting and negotiating supply contracts, licenses, leases and other commercial matters. In my civil litigation practice, I litigate many complex litigations involving construction, contract, zoning, RICO and other business matters. I a member of the American, Nebraska State, and Omaha Bar Associations. I serve on the boards of Project Harmony, a child advocacy center, and the Nebraska-Iowa Wireless Association. I am a past director of Beth El Synagogue and the Jewish Federation of Omaha. I have also served on the Federal Practice Committee for the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska and on the Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
