About Gregory Hayes
For over 35 years, I have served as a trusted advisor to high net worth individuals and families. I counsel private clients on all aspects of their estate planning, including succession planning for family businesses and planning for distribution of retirement plan assets. I help individuals and fiduciaries in the administration of complex estates and trusts, as well as in contested probate matters, including will contests and construction actions. I am a fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel, and a former member of the executive committee of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. I have consistently been ranked in Private Wealth Law by Chambers High Net Worth* (Chambers and Partners) since 2016. I have also been named to the Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.) in trusts and estates. My entire legal career has been at Day Pitney, starting as a Summer Associate in the firm's Hartford office.
