Gregory Cannata

I have been privileged to practice law since 1977, first as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, then defending civil suits at Simon & White, and later representing plaintiffs at Schneider, Kleinick & Weitz. When SKW closed as a result of the September11 attacks, I founded my own firm which, in 23 years, has now grown to five attorneys and ten support staff. My two children, Alison Cannata Hendele and Robert Cannata are now my partners. Together we handle a wide variety of personal injury lawsuits including construction accidents, product liability injuries, sexual abuse cases, toxic tort exposures, and motor vehicle accidents. The firm has an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell. The firm’s noteworthy recoveries include $58 million for a group of construction workers sickened by the World Trade Center dust,$16 million for a transportation injury, $10 million for an injury occurring while in foster care, and over $300 million recovered from the Victims Compensation Fund.
