 Currently representing the families of individuals who died in custody due to deliberate indifference to their medical needs. Currently working with the ACLU on a consent decree case involving unconstitutional conditions within the Broward County Jail.  As lead trial counsel tried several civil rights cases to verdict in Federal court and settled many more, resulting in judgments and recoveries totaling over $13.75 million.  Successfully represented several H.I.V. positive individuals, in U.S. District Court, who were denied medical care during their incarceration in the Broward County Jail. After 13 months of litigation, in two separate proceedings, a confidential settlement was reached.  Represented accused individuals in hundreds of criminal matters in State and Federal court ranging from DUI to drug trafficking.
