Mr. Russell has been practicing law for more than 30 years in Jackson, Mississippi having been admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1981. Prior to the formation of his solo practice in 2003, Mr. Russell was a partner/shareholder in several of the larger Jackson firms who employed over 200 attorneys and maintained offices throughout the Southeastern United States representing international, national and local clients. Combined with over 30 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Russell has experience in many phases of business, tax, ERISA, will and estate matters. Mr. Russell received his B.B.A. degree from Delta State University in 1977; his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1981; and his Master of Laws (in Taxation) from New York University in 1982. Mr Russell is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts of Mississippi, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Russell has been involved with and served on the board and in officer positions with various associations, including Mississippi Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Jackson Northside YMCA, St. James Episcopal Church, Delta State University Alumni Association and The Delta State University Foundation.
