Practice focuses on the representation of individual employees, in addition to, collective and class action litigation in both North Carolina and nationwide for violations under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws; specifically, employers' violations for failure to pay for all hours worked, overtime, minimum wage, and promised wages; misclassification of salaried exempt employees; donning/doffing issues in poultry and pork processing plants; illegal deductions; "off the clock" hours worked and failure to pay on an employee's regular pay day; Extensive experience in government contracts with prevailing wage issues under both the Davis-Bacon, DBRA, and SCA, and INA which may also impact state wage and hour issues/requirements.
