ATTORNEY / FOUNDER - Arrington Law Office, 2008 – 2012 Founded and operated a very successful private practice focusing on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury cases. • Successfully litigated hundreds of cases in the district, circuit, and appellate courts of Virginia. • Defended indigent clients charged with first degree murder, sexual assault, narcotics distribution, and other serious felonies. • Superb record of obtaining favorable results in jury trials, sentencing hearings, and plea negotiations. • Successfully litigated contested divorces, child custody disputes, and advised clients on other family law matters. • Negotiated favorable personal injury settlements for clients injured in automobile accidents. • Management responsibilities included creating a business plan, securing funding, calculating income predictions, developing operating budgets, creating advertising plans, negotiating vendor contracts, etc. • Performed all title work and closings for a 40+ parcel highway project for the Virginia D.O.T,
