George Piemonte

George Piemonte is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Georgia. He has offices in Charlotte, NC Decatur, GA and Arlington, TX. He received his B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 1982 and his law degree from Nova University in 1987. He was one of the first lawyers in North Carolina to become a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law. George served on the North Carolina State Bar’s Specialization Committee for Social Security Disability Law for the maximum number of terms allowed; is a Past Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice; Prior Chair of the Lawyers’ Assistance Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section; and serves on the CLE Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section. He is currently the immediate Past President of NOSSCR. George’s areas of practice are Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability. George is admitted to all courts of the State of North Carolina, the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of the United States District Court of North Carolina; the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of the United States District Court of Georgia; the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of the United States District Court of Texas; the he United States District Court of Colorado; the Eastern District of he United States District Court Wisconsin; the United States Court of Appeals 4th, 6th, and 11th Circuits; the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; and the Supreme Court of the United States. George is a frequent presenter at NOSSCR conferences as well as local CLEs. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR), the National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA), and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
