About George Newhouse
Thirty-eight years experience in trying white collar criminal cases and complex commercial litigation in state and federal court. My criminal experience includes service on both sides of the courtroom: as a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles and as a criminal defense attorney. Trial experience includes approximately 45 trials and arbitrations, and 40 appellate cases argued before the Ninth, Eighth and Second Circuits. Unbeaten in trials as a criminal defense attorney with a recent trial victory in Riverside County in a criminal case brought against a federal agent who was driving to work in November 2019. Now a partner at Richards Carrington in Los Angeles, litigation boutique based in Denver, I am also adjunct professor at the University of Southern California where I have taught criminal justice class since 1998. Specialties: Criminal and Commercial litigation, securities, antitrust, environmental defense and internal investigations.
