About George Jones
George Jones is an attorney with an active personal injury and criminal defense practice. He represents clients across the state of Iowa. He is accepting new clients in all personal injury and criminal law matters, including auto accidents, medical negligence, work injuries, slip and fall injuries, and construction and trucking accidents. He is an expert in criminal justice, with extensive experience as a criminal defense attorney, university criminal law professor and judicial trainer. He has worked in Ecuador, Panama, Guatemala and Mexico with USAID and ABA Rule of Law Initiative programs, training judges, prosecutors, police and defense attorneys on criminal litigation skills and criminal case investigation in the oral accusatory system. Mr. Jones has several decades of criminal law experience as prosecutor, defense attorney, judicial clerk, and appellate judge. In his current law practice he represents clients charges with crimes ranging from simple misdemeanors to murder. He also has an active immigration, civil litigation, and family law practice. George Jones is a trained mediator and is fluent in Spanish at an advanced/professional level, and in French at an intermediate/independent level.
