I developed a system to help California employers meet their obligations under the state's very complex regulatory environment. It consists of establishing good policies and practices, training, and prompt intervention to avoid lawsuits. While this sounds simple, our focus on details and client relationships sets us apart. I do this work in conjunction with Sierra HR Partners, a human resource company. We were one of the first law firms in the nation to develop an ancillary business providing HR services. The certified professionals at Sierra HR Partners focus on recruiting, compliance and HR training. The combination of the employment law expertise and professional HR consultants with a unified approach has been a very successful combination for our clients. I focus almost exclusively on California employment law, including wage and hour, discrimination, privacy rights, employee relations, health and safety, trade secret protection and ERISA.
