About Eve Ocasio

Amanda Eve Ocasio Amanda Eve Ocasio is a Program Director, Board Member, and community strategist with over 15 years of experience advancing housing justice, resource equity, and culturally grounded leadership across New York City. Her work sits at the intersection of advocacy, philanthropy, and community power, where she builds mission-aligned partnerships that translate lived experience into sustainable systems change. Amanda specializes in aligning public and private stakeholders around shared values, accountability, and long-term impact. As Program Director at El Puente’s Berry Street site, Amanda leads tenant advocacy, civic engagement, and cross-sector collaboration for 150 households in South Williamsburg. She develops initiatives that strengthen resident leadership, expand access to resources, and address the root causes of displacement through relationship-driven organizing and strategic partnerships. A graduate of the Hispanic Leadership Institute at NYU Steinhardt in partnership with the Hispanic Federation and the Fund for the City of New York, Amanda brings expertise in nonprofit management, strategic planning, and collective impact. Her approach integrates data-informed advocacy with cultural strategy, public storytelling, and creative engagement to mobilize funders and institutions in support of community-led solutions. Amanda’s leadership has been featured in The New York Times for her role coordinating large-scale mutual aid for newly arrived asylum-seeking families and expanding cultural access through Title I partnerships with Cool Culture. She currently serves on the Board of IMPACCT Brooklyn, contributing to governance, strategic planning, and housing policy advocacy. Today, Amanda is deepening her focus on donor relations, institutional giving, and philanthropic partnerships that connect mission-aligned funders to transformative, community-rooted initiatives. As both an artist and advocate, she uses storytelling, culture, and relationship-building as tools to create belonging, visibility, and systemic change.
