As a Partner at Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham, PLLC's Florida office, I am an experienced civil litigator who has developed a strong background of representing several of the country's largest insurance companies, commercial businesses and individuals in the defense of general liability claims, including premises/product liability, property damage, negligence and employment liability (under Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act and the ADA), as well as insurance subrogation/coverage litigation (under commercial/personal line automobile & property damage, trucking, and workers’ compensation policies) and admiralty/maritime claims (under General Maritime law, the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act (DBA) and the Jones Act). I graduated from Syracuse University (B.S., Psychology) and the Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center (J.D.), where I was a member, published author and Research Editor of the Touro Law Review. I have been a speaker/lecturer for multiple presentations to clients, insurers and attorneys on a wide variety of topics, including liability defense, preservation of evidence, subrogation, Longshore, Jones Act and DBA law. I am AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and the South Florida Legal Guide has recognized me as a “Top Lawyer” since 2016. I am admitted to practice in the State Courts of Florida, New York and New Jersey, as well as all Federal Courts in Florida & New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
