About Emily Thiagaraj
Emily Thiagaraj co-founded Kosinski and Thiagaraj, LLP, a workers’ side employment law firm, in 2014 after working for a California employer-side firm. Emily has established a niche in representing university employees and healthcare workers with claims of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Emily devotes a significant amount of her time advising employees who are subject to workplace investigations. In addition, she has represented thousands of workers in wage and hour class actions, including the flight attendants in Bernstein et. al. v. Virgin America, Inc. In 2021, Emily opened her firm’s sister office in Toronto, Ontario: Kosinski and Thiagaraj Ltd. While in Canada, Emily continues to represent workers in litigation in California and has also developed a large practice providing workers advice and counsel regarding all matters related to US employment law. As a registered foreign legal consultant in Canada, Emily also advises Canadian businesses on employment law matters in the US. In her free time, you can find Emily portaging with her daughter and partner, learning French, or running along Lake Ontario.
