I am an Intellectual Property litigator and IP strategist. I have represented clients in a broad range of commercial and intellectual property disputes in numerous federal courts, as well as in the International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and in domestic and international arbitrations. With a background in computer engineering, computer science and biomedical engineering, I have advised clients across multiple technology sectors including media and entertainment technology, semiconductor design and fabrication, biotechnology and life sciences. In addition to IP litigation, I have a successful IP strategy practice where I help clients maximize the value of their technology investments during corporate transactions, when developing licensing programs, and in pre-litigation planning. I counsel businesses on IP portfolio analyses, technology development and commercialization, IP issues arising in bankruptcy matters, and IP due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions and asset purchases. I have received the “MCCA Rainmaker” award from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, been recognized as a "World’s Leading Patent Professional" by Intellectual Asset Magazine, and earned “Patent Litigation Lawyer of the Year” honors. I am also Chambers-rated in Intellectual Property, recognized among The Best Lawyers in America, and named one of the 500 “Most Influential People” in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
