About Ellen Pilelsky
I am a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Oppenheim Law, a Weston based AV-rated firm which focuses on, in addition to other practice areas, real estate transactions and litigation, corporate law, and commercial litigation. Starting my career on Wall Street, I am licensed to practice in both New York and Florida. I, along with my husband, Roy Oppenheim, founded the firm thirty years ago. Oppenheim Law serves national, international, and local clients, and reports the highest rating (A-V) conferred by Martindale Hubbell Law Directory. As Managing Partner, I am the resident futurist and change agent for the firm. After being selected for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, I spearheaded the firm’s flat-fee concierge program, providing affordable outside general counsel services for small and medium sized businesses. During the Great Recession, our firm helped and represented homeowners who were underwater or in foreclosure, providing live seminars and informational videos about the crisis, the process, and legal issues emerging at that time. Our firm, this past year, hosted a thirty-three consecutive week webinar called “Zoom at Noon” where we discussed the ever evolving legal and real estate issues due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We continue to provide insight and information as we navigate through COVID-19. In particular, we provide legal assistance in restructuring leases for landlords, investors, businesses, tenants, and retail shops. We also handle corporate workouts and assist businesses with restructuring SBA loans. Further, thirty years ago, I co-founded Weston Title & Escrow, Inc., one of the oldest independent real estate title agencies in South Florida, serving lenders, developers, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, investors, and both residential and commercial purchasers and sellers. We provide mobile closers and remote online notarization. I have served on the boards of the Weston Bar Association, the Greater West Broward Business Council of the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and B’nai Aviv of Weston. Currently, I have been mentoring high school students through the nonprofit Take Stock in Children for the past seven years.
