My legal career has taken me through a unique blend of trial law, aviation law, and military service—experiences that continue to shape how I approach complex operational and regulatory challenges. I previously served as an Aviation Law Lecturer for Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University, where I taught future aviation professionals about the legal frameworks, regulatory environments, and risk‑management principles that underpin safe flight operations. Helping students connect legal concepts to real‑world aviation scenarios was an especially rewarding part of that role. I have served as the Brigade Judge Advocate for the 6th Cavalry Regiment, a U.S. Army Combat Aviation Brigade formerly stationed in Korea. In that position, among other things, I advised commanders and aircrews on operational law, rules of engagement, aviation safety, international agreements, and mission‑critical legal considerations in a dynamic forward deployed regional environment. Supporting an aviation brigade overseas strengthened my ability to translate legal guidance into practical, mission‑focused solutions. Aviation remains a personal passion as well—I’m an instrument‑rated pilot, and that perspective continues to inform the way I think about both aviation operations and the legal frameworks that support them. I bring a unique blend of hands-on aviation experience, deep understanding of FAA and international regulatory frameworks, and practical insight from advising senior military leaders in complex operational environments.
