My legal practice focuses on counseling, advising and defending California businesses in employment-related matters -- with a specialty in representing those in the hospital/healthcare industry. Given my many years of experience with employers in the healthcare setting, I maintain a deep knowledge of the unique challenges that hospitals and other healthcare organizations face when balancing the obligation to provide a safe environment for its patients, while remaining compliant with the many state and federal employment laws governing its workforce. As an experienced employment law litigator, I am passionate about providing my clients with the education and tools they need to be successful and to ensure compliance with California’s myriad of employment laws so they can remain competitive. I believe the first line of defense is a good offense, so I arm my clients with the information they need in order to avoid litigation in the first place. I also have experience representing clients in the retail, pharmaceutical, banking, publishing, entertainment, web-based media, oil refinery and gig economy as they face uncertainty in wage and hour and classification laws in the state. I also regularly conduct presentations on virtually every employment-related topic, including Employee Handbooks, Marijuana in the Workplace, Workplace Policies and Procedures, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, and more.
