David Tracey

I am a civil rights and employment attorney and the Managing Partner of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, a national litigation firm dedicated to representing individuals and classes in high-stakes disputes against some of the world's most powerful institutions.My practice focuses on workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, wage theft, employee benefits, and civil rights violations. I represent employees — from hourly workers to c-suite executives — who have been wronged by employers, and I hold those employers accountable through every available avenue—from negotiations to agency filings to complex litigation. As Co-Chair of the firm's Public Interest Litigation Practice Group, I also lead cases that advance systemic change beyond any individual client's recovery. These include cases involving housing discrimination, consumer protection, and other matters of public concern.Before joining Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, I clerked for a federal judge.
