About David Salton
I am a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group, International Arbitration, and Construction sections of Porter Hedges. I am Board Certified in Construction Law and represent owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other commercial entities in construction, government contract, energy, and other commercial disputes. A big part of my practice involves representation of clients in international commercial arbitration proceedings before the International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Over the last few years I have represented pipeline contractors and chemical facility owners based in Texas in complex construction disputes, energy providers based in Mexico in commercial disputes, U.S. government contractors performing under the LOGCAP III Contract in the Middle East in construction and commercial disputes, and chemical manufacturers based in Japan and Thailand in disputes surrounding long-term supply agreements. Clients have described me as “deliberate and always well prepared” and an attorney who, during trial, “was dialed in and brought it every day” and “knew the facts and the evidence more than any lawyer in the room.”
