David O'Donnell

I have over 30 years of work experience as a civil defense lawyer, representing business entities and individuals in various types of litigation. My core competencies include courts, mediation, legal writing, and political and civil rights law. I am passionate about providing high-quality legal services to my clients and upholding the principles of justice and fairness. I am currently a member at Clayton O'Donnell, PLLC, a long-standing civil defense practice in North Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee area. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have also taught law courses at the University of Mississippi School of Law for the last 25 years and served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Neal Biggers, Jr. As a member at Clayton O'Donnell, PLLC, I handle complex and challenging cases involving product liability, employment, business disputes, public entities, and insurance disputes. I have successfully defended my clients in trial and appellate courts (over 35 appellate oral arguments in state and federal courts) , as well as in mediation and arbitration. I have also authored and co-authored several publications on Mississippi insurance law, election law, and voting rights. I have received multiple honors and recognition for my legal work, such as the AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell, the Top Tier rating and "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers in America, and the Super Lawyers rating by Mid South.
