About David O'Connell
For more than 25 years, I have practiced as a California attorney, entitled to practice before the courts of California Bar, and the United States District Courts for South and Central Districts of California. For the bulk of my career I practiced as a sole practitioner, and from 2000 to 2006, I was a partner in the San Diego firm of O'Connell & Zuffoletto, LLP. That firm specialized in real estate and employment issues, with my concentration in real property. I have now returned to practice as a sole practitioner, and have formed O'Connell & Associates, focusing my practice in real property, business, and estate planning. I have initiated a new business model, in which personal relationships are created before retention is accepted. I also dabble in writing, posting irregularly to various blogs, and in the process of writing a novel. Specialties: My practice is concentrated in the rough and tumble of the San Diego real estate market, including sales and acquisitions of both developed and undeveloped property, syndication, and development. I compliment that concentration with services with litigation practice in real property contract enforcement/defense, and fraud cases. I also have career long experience in commercial leasing and finance.
