David Dunbar

David's 38 year law practice has included a variety of trial specialty areas. He focuses on transportation, commercial litigation, premises liability, products, medical and legal malpractice, and personal injury litigation. He has successfully pursued qui tam, Title VII discrimination and civil rights cases. Several significant reported cases by the Mississippi Supreme Court, the Mississippi Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and United States District Courts of Mississippi have involved Dunbar's work. He is active in various attorney organizations, and he is honored to hold membership in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, which is composed of leaders in the legal community from around the country. Membership in the FDCC is held exclusively for those invited members who have been judged by their peers to have achieved professional distinction. David also enjoys membership in the American College of Transportation Attorneys, an organization limited to 25 nationally recognized trucking lawyers. David is the first attorney in Mississippi to become Board Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is licensed to active practice law in Arkansas and Mississippi and is inactive in Georgia. David has significant jury trial experience in state and federal courts, having tried many cases to verdict as lead counsel. In addition, Dunbar has tried successfully numerous bench and administrative matters. Dunbar has also been a speaker and moderator at local and national transportation and CLE conferences. Dunbar is a Harvard trained mediator and has mediated serious personal injury and business disputes for over 20 years.
