I am a senior member of the firm, lead the firm's insurance and reinsurance practice group and represent a number of major domestic insurance and reinsurance companies. We handle a wide variety of insurance coverage and defense matters in all major lines of coverage including property and casualty, commercial, life and health, employment practices liability, directors and officers, professional liability, surety and personal lines. We also have significant experience with coverage of long-tail claims, such as environmental and asbestos. I have handled and tried numerous cases involving all lines of coverage and have been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Lawyer. I have substantial experience handling reinsurance coverage disputes and arbitrations involving all types of reinsurance contracts and underlying books of business. The firm has significant depth in this area and handles the full range of reinsurance disputes involving quota share, excess of loss, inuring and clash covers and many other specialized products. Underlying books of business include property and casualty, commercial lines, whole account, surety, workers compensation, finite and financial reinsurance and other unique coverages, such as kidnap & ransom and auto lease residual value. I have been lead counsel in many substantial reinsurance arbitrations tried to a final conclusion. My practice covers the representation of clients in other areas as well, including commercial disputes, employment, products liability, environmental, asbestos and professional liability. This broad range of experience has been particularly helpful in representing my clients in diverse matters. I also have a significant appellate practice and have won many important coverage decisions in the New Jersey Supreme Court and other appellate courts, including cases involving allocation of liability for asbestos and environmental claims, insurer bad-faith liability and reinsurance coverage.
