David Cashdan

Extensive and successful experience in virtually all aspects of employment law, including for example wrongful discharge, severance agreements, employment agreements, race, gender (sex harassment, pregnancy), national origin, religious, age, sexual orientation, disability and family medical leave, public policy, wage discrimination, non-compete agreements and retaliation. Representation primarily of employees at all levels in the private and public sector. Employer clients have included, NPR, Baker & Hostetler and United States Office of the Architect. My practice has included individual and class actions, representation of executives, severance negotiations, mediation, arbitration and litigation. My professional related activities include active involvement and leadership role in the National Employment Lawyers Association. For the past several years my primary responsibilities with NELA have related to developing and pursing legislation and public policy priorities with both the Congress and the EEOC. I was NELA's First Vice President for the years 2010-12 and a Board Member for the past twelve years. Other activities, former President of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association and current Board Member. Past activities include founding Board Member, DC Employment Justice Center, elected member of the District of Columbia Bar Labor and Employment Section Steering Committee, Alliance for Justice Judicial Selection Project, adjunct Professor of Law Denver University College of Law.
