About Danielle Downey
I am a medical negligence and nursing home negligence litigator, working as an advocate for my clients in nursing home abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, and other personal injury cases. I have extensive experience counseling my clients, drafting and filing various legal documentation, and working to get the best possible outcomes for our clients.I am an alumna of The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a degree in psychology with a minor in social work. I am also a graduate of DePaul University College of Law as a Dean's Scholar and a Center for Public Interest Fellow. My background in psychology and social work has given me many skills to work to improve the quality of life and affect positive change to groups that are disadvantaged, unrepresented, and unheard. While I attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign I got lots of exposure and invaluable experience working with underserved populations, families from low socio-economic backgrounds, and at-risk youth. These experiences have shaped me in pivotal ways and helped solidify my desire to continue my education and create a career in law. I have always been passionate about using my personal strengths and empathy towards the betterment of society. I graduated with my JD in 2020 and I am currently working in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, and nursing home abuse and neglect, fulfilling my dream to act as an advocate for others. Through my rigorous classroom and work schedule, I fortified my drive and dedication to working long and hard to achieve the positive end result desired. I am very excited for what my future career holds.
