Daniel Turinsky

My practice concentrates on employment-related litigation and counseling. I represent employers before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration panels in connection with discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims; wage and hour class and collective actions; disputes involving the enforcement of employment contracts, confidentiality agreements and non-competition covenants; consumer class actions involving employer pre-employment screening processes; and tort claims arising out of the employment relationship such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, intentional infliction of emotional distress, tortious interference and defamation. Additionally, I counsel companies on compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and regularly advise clients on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including disciplinary actions and terminations; employment, consulting and separation agreements; workplace investigations; background checks; disability accommodations and family leave; wage and hour issues; employment policies and practices; reductions-in-force; due diligence with respect to corporate transactions; and litigation avoidance. I also write extensively on labor and employment matters and am a member of DLA Piper's national Employment Editorial Board. In that role, I serve as an editor of The Labor Dish, DLA Piper's employment and labor blog highlighting legal issues important to US employers.
